Walk to the shrine of S. Croce, at the bottom of the walls of Santa Croce

From La Villa (1433 m) there is a beautiful trail that leads to Lake Sompunt and Pedraces, where one can take the chairlift up to Santa Croce and then have a 20-minute walk to the characteristic church of Santa Croce (2045 m).
Return along the path towards San Cassiano deviation in La Villa, or take the path that leads directly to La Villa.
Family walks to Pralongià
From La Villa, take the gondola to Piz La Ila and follow the path towards La Fraina mountain hut and Biok until arriving at Pralongià hut. To return, use the same path or take the path to San Cassiano along the Gadera stream. use the same path or take the path to San Cassiano along the Gadera stream.
On to Sassongher or Puez mountain hut
Departing from Colfosco, walk along the Stella Alpina valley to the junction for Puez hut. Follow indications for Puez or take a right under the rocks towards Sassongher. For the summit, hike to the ridge and traverse a small passage, equipped with steel cables for safety, then follow a graveled path that zigzags all the way to the highest point (2665 m).
To Lake Boè
From Corvara, take the gondola to Piz Boè and after a half-hour walk, reach Lake Boè. Another possibility is to continue up to Franz al Vallon hut: take the Vallon chairlift and after a 45-minute walk, arrive at the hut.
From here, enjoy the marvelous panorama with a striking view of Marmolada. Take the same route to return to Corvara.

The Kingdom of Fanes

Fanes can be reached after parting from Capanna Alpina (about 3 km after San Cassiano towards Armenterola). Travel uphill for about half an hour to Col de Locia (2069 m), then continue on foot to the plateau, pass the characteristic Limo Lake, and finally reach the Fanes hut at an altitude of 2060 m (approximately another 2.5 hour walk).
The same path can be used for the return. As an alternative, take paths to Pederu and San Vigilio di Marebbe and then return by bus to Ata Badia.
This are just some of the many hiking trails in the heart of the Dolomites in Alta Badia.
