Pedraces and S.Leonardo together make the town of Badia, a characteristic village for winter and summer holidays, located at the foot of the majestic Santa Croce. Activities include numerous trails between traditional farmhouses and the mountain hut at Santa Croce, a panoramic place of pilgrimage, or perhaps through the flowery meadows of Armentara, or visit the birthplace of Saint Giuseppe Frenademez (a missionary in China who was born in Pedraces). The area is well equipped as a winter sport destination thanks to the quick chairlift with a direct connection to Alta Badia’s grand ski circuit and the Sellaronda.

The ancient sanctuary of Santa Croce is one of the most popular destinations in Alta Badia.

Badia (Pedraces and S.Leonardo) has 1346 inhabitants and accommodations for 1790 visitors.

For tourism purposes, the villages of Pedraces and San Leonardo currently use the name of Badia.
