Alta Badia and surroundings: Arabba, 1606 m
| |
Arabba is located along the road that travels through the Dolomites, between Cordevole Valley and the Pordoi Pass. It is surrounded by Marmolada, Fassa Valley with the Pordoi Pass, the Sella group and Alta Badia. Arabba is a famous skiing destination right next to the slopes, some of which are quite challenging. It is inside the classic Sella Ronda ski circuit of the Sella group which joins four towns of the Dolomites: Corvara, Selva di Val Gardena, Arabba and Canazei.
Arabba is easily reached from Corvara (Badia Valley) via the Campolongo Pass in 15 minutes.
|
Marmolada
Marmolada, at 3.342 m, is the highest summit in the Dolomites and can be reached from Arabba by the Portavescovo cablecar and the Padon Pass, or perhaps from Malga Ciapella with the Marmolada cablecar.
| |
 |
Arabba had 380 inhabitants and accommodations for 700 guests in hotels, guesthouses, bed and breakfasts and apartments in private homes. A majority of these are in direct contact with the slopes.
